On this New Years Eve, at least by the Christian reckoning, I just want to wish everyone a year ahead of feeling like a Goddess and receiving the blessings that all Goddesses deserve. I must remind myself that there is enough to go around for everyone. Enough love, passion, joy, money, food, whatever… If I have what I want-no one else has to go without.
May we all be blessed with love, passion, joy and fulfilment. The details will fill in. Remember when praying to thank yourself for praying. Remember when playing to thank yourself for playing. The spirits, angels, goddesses, and all benevolent forces are wishing us well, are wanting us to know that they are helping us and to let their love in too.
May we all be present to the blessing of our life as often as possible…
Recently I was at a ritzy mall in Atlanta with my good friend, and she asked me what would I do if money were no object. I said that I would fix a few small things around my house and travel travel travel. Since we were looking at store after store of fancy clothes I started thinking abouy what I liked. I loved a lot of the clothes in the window of Bebe. They were very tiny.
The thing that I find frustrating isn’t just that I can’t shop there now. Thanx to my hard work combined with my lap band surgery, I will probably be able to shop there in a year or so. The thing that I find so frustrating is that many women can’t shop there. If I woke up tomorrow a size 0, I think that I would feel like I was betraying all my goddesses by shopping there.
Beauty is not a size and so many women of all sizes deserve to feel beatiful and wear beatiful clothes. Dividing us by size into this store or that store is so demeaning and lowers all of us. Goddesses should be able to buy sexy clothes-even in ritzy malls.
I wonder how do we as women learn to love, respect and care for ourselves? I am wondering this-I have worked hard on it myself but know that what has worked for me is not a blueprint but an individual plan.
Next question-I want to help women with this-is this me focusing too much on others (the downfall of many a compulsive eater) or genuinely exploring the next step in my life?
I am thinking of becoming a life coach for women (goddess coach) or a therapist or ???
After several years of fighting with BigBear (hubby) regarding his parents and an incident that I won’t get into here, I finally had a revelation!
I rememembered an episode of Frasier and once I brought it up-BigBear got it! It was a major breakthrough in our relationship. I keep fighting like a Jew-going back to my roots and he, like an uptight Catholic! So his (and his parents) subtle comments are apparently really meaningful and my long angry rants are just a way to get back to love!
For an illumination of this fascinating cultural difference-please watch this 7 minute clip from Frasier. After years of being a fan-Frasier has finally become our therapist.
I’ve invented a new distinction in friendship. There is the outer circle, the inner circle and then there is the pee circle. These are the goddesses who you pee in front of. Those friends who are close enough to just keep on talkin’ while you do your business. Thanx to the goddesses in my pee circle!
This week’s message from Angelspeake‘s, Trudy Griswold is profound!
“Life will become abundantly good when you can learn to ask from your intellect–believe from your heart–and let go from your gut–while saying thank you to your spiritual support team.”
Blessings – Your Angels
Have a wonderful week! – Trudy
